Research Progress Report

The research progress report is roughly like a IEEE conference paper, except expanded. Roughly speaking, it can be organized into the following sections:
- Introduction (3-5 pages): describe the broad area, state of the art, open problems and put what you have done into context
- Main sections (10-12 pages): technical results.
- Summary and future work (3-5 pages): summarize briefly what you have done and then talk about future research directions (in some detail) that could lead to a PhD thesis in this area.
