To solve this problem, it is important to have read and understood Chapter 8.2 of AM, in particular the section that talks about transmission of exponential signals.


It will be trivial to find the transfer function from u to x (note there is a typo here, y should be x) using the convolution integral.

For the second part, I suggest to repeat the calculation of the convolution integral, assuming now s=a.
