Ufuk Topcu, a graduating PhD student with Andy Packard at UC Berkeley, is going to be visiting Caltech on Tue, 27 Nov. He's working on a number of things that might be of interest to the group:

  • nonlinear system verification and certification with Andy Packard
  • nonlinear system analysis and model reduction with Prof. Ken Mease of UC Irvine
  • optimal control, optimization with applications in finance, cancer treatment, and classification with Laurent El Ghaoui (UC Berkeley)
  • control and estimation in networked systems with Kameshwar Poolla
  • GPS-denied navigation using vision-based SLAM (which I got involved in during an internship at the Honeywell Labs).
