* The Southern California Controls Workshop (SoCal NLC) will take place on 8 Oct (Fri) in Santa Barbara. Caltech has two slots for speakers. This workshop is attended by PhD students and faculty from UC San Diego, UCLA, USC, UC Riverside, UC Irvine, Caltech and UC Santa Barbara.

• 6 Oct (Wed): Mung Chiang (Princeton) will visit and give an IST lunch bunch talk (noon) and and EE/CS seminar (4 pm?)
• 8 Oct (Fri): Southern California Control Workshop (SoCal NLC) in Santa Barbara
• 11 Oct (Mon): Jerry Loeb (USC) will give a talk titled "What Does the Brain Control?" and be around for discussions in the afternoon
• 12 Oct (Tue): Raff D'Andrea will visit and give an IST lunch bunch talk (noon)
